Helping people connect the overlooked pieces of wellness and make more informed choices for themselves, their homes, and their animals.

Get to Know Jenny

Jenny Carlson’s approach to wellness is rooted in a deeply held belief: God created a world filled with wisdom, provision and resources that can help us care for our bodies, our homes, our animals and one another.

Jenny sees wellness as part of a much larger design, with every aspect of life and creation influencing the others in ways we are still learning to understand. The body exists within a continual relationship with our environment, daily choices, experiences, relationships, faith and the natural world. These connections can be subtle, cumulative and far-reaching. This perspective shapes the way Jenny studies wellness: looking beyond one symptom, one product or one area of life to understand the wider picture.

Each piece matters—and each piece affects the whole.

Jenny’s path in natural wellness began in her twenties and has continued for more than 30 years through personal study, observation, practical application and lived experience. Along the way, she encountered both the value and the limitations of conventional medicine—seeing where testing and acute care can be essential, while also experiencing times when answers, relief and meaningful guidance were difficult to find. Those experiences strengthened her resolve to keep learning, ask deeper questions and explore the relationships among nutrition, herbs, household exposures, supplementation, movement, emotional wellness and the body’s natural ability to recover and adapt.

She also came to understand how difficult that journey can be for someone who is already tired, hurting or overwhelmed.

That is what drives her desire to help others travel an easier road.

Jenny's primary focus is helping people understand the many supportive choices available in everyday life—choices that can strengthen the foundations of wellness and work alongside appropriate care when needed.

She believes wellness becomes clearer when the body is viewed as a connected whole. What we eat, breathe, touch and bring into our homes matters. Movement, rest, faith, relationships, emotional patterns, animals and the environment around us all contribute to the larger picture.

Today, people are exposed to an increasingly complex mix of synthetic chemicals, environmental toxins, processed products, technological systems and frequencies. Jenny believes these realities make the resources found in creation even more important. Food, herbs, clean water, fresh air, sunlight, movement, restorative practices and intentional daily choices can help the body remain more resilient in a changing world.

Her work helps people understand what may be affecting them, recognize what deserves closer attention and make practical changes that fit their home, budget, responsibilities and season of life.

Jenny’s areas of focus include:

Product and purchasing discernment

Cleaner household and personal-care choices

Home cleaning products and reducing unnecessary exposures

Essential oils and their practical applications

Vitamins, minerals and supplementation

Complementary and supportive herbal knowledge

Natural approaches for animals

Herbal support for pets and livestock

Nutrition, habits and environmental wellness

Helping clients identify trustworthy products, sourcing and brands

Jenny is especially passionate about helping people recognize the details they may not yet know to look for.

Ingredient quality matters. Nutrient form matters. Purity, sourcing and processing matter. The needs of each person or animal matter. Herbs, oils, supplements, medications, food choices and health history can all influence one another.

Through education and personalized guidance, Jenny helps clients understand those connections and make choices with greater clarity and intention.

She also helps people explore how complementary healing modalities may fit into a broader wellness plan. These may include chiropractic care, massage therapy, physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, sauna, red-light therapy, decompression, hyperbaric chamber therapy and other supportive approaches.

Her role is to help clients step back, see the larger picture and consider which tools may best support their current needs and goals.

Jenny’s educational background includes the Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate through eCornell and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, along with a certificate from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology for Traditional Herbal Medicine in Supportive Cancer Care: From Alternative to Integrative.

These studies expanded her understanding of nutrition, plant-based wellness and the thoughtful use of traditional herbal knowledge within a broader approach to care.

At Serenity Gardens Wellness, Jenny brings curiosity, discernment, practical experience and a whole-person perspective. She helps clients identify their priorities, understand what may be influencing their wellness and determine which changes can provide the most meaningful place to begin.

Her work is guided by compassion for people searching for clearer answers. She understands that knowledge grows through experience, observation, thoughtful questions and a willingness to keep learning.

Jenny’s purpose is to help others connect those pieces with greater clarity and confidence—so they can care for themselves, their families and their animals with wisdom and intention.

Because no part of wellness works alone.

OUR LONG TERM VISION

We believe Serenity Gardens can become more than a website, a class, or a collection of resources. We envision a destination where people can reconnect with the things that sustain life.

A place where faith, wellness, education, hospitality, community, and creation come together in meaningful ways.

A place where people can learn practical skills, experience renewal, ask questions, build relationships, and explore wellness from a perspective rooted in stewardship and God's design.

Over time, that vision may include:

• Regenerative gardens and food production

• Medicinal herb gardens

• Educational greenhouses

• Farm-to-table experiences

• Wellness workshops and retreats

• Walking paths and reflection spaces

• Prayer gardens

• Animal-assisted experiences

• Tiny homes or guest cottages

• Community gathering spaces

• Partnerships with aligned practitioners and educators

• Scholarship-supported opportunities for those in need

We know this vision is larger than what exists today.

But every class, every garden bed, every relationship, and every step forward helps bring it closer to reality.

The journey has already begun.

My journey into natural wellness began long before it became my profession. As a mother of seven and someone who has experienced her own healing journey, I learned firsthand the impact that nutrition, herbs, and daily lifestyle choices can have on overall well-being. Today, it is my joy to walk alongside others, sharing what I've learned and helping people discover practical, natural ways to support their health while growing in confidence, hope, and stewardship of the body God has given them.
